We’re so pleased to welcome you to our property at Island Pond, VT.  We’re delighted to share the shores of Island Pond’s pristine lake in the Summer and the top of the lake during Winter as part of The VAST Trail.

Seasonal Activities for Every Enthusiast

Four seasons of fun!  Summer time boasts fishing, kayaking, ATV adventures, swimming & sunning on Island Pond!  Do you enjoy snowmobiling, sledding & snowmen?  Get your fill this winter at The Island Pond Country Inn and enjoy every month in between.  Island Pond is a glacial lake where you will enjoy natural sandy beaches found on the eastern, southern and western shoreline.  Don’t be surprised if a Loon becomes part of the scenery.  Once endangered, we see Loons and other birds that have made the lake their home.

Bring your boat! We have a private dock for our guests to enjoy every spring, summer and fall. Kayaks, pontoon boats and other water sports rentals are nearby.  We welcome bike clubs too!  Contact us directly to find out what’s going on in the area!

During spring, summer & fall, try your best hand at tennis in the nearby courts, or take in the landscape hiking Bluff Mountain Trail.

The colors of autumn will take your breath away – the changing of the leaves, the backdrop of colorful mountains, the forests and an array of flowers rich in yellow, red and orange.  September through October is the best time to experience this – and if you’re into photography, we encourage you to capture the beauty during an annual pilgrimage.

Winter chill and snow usher in the snowmobilers.  We love facilitating our guests snow activities:  snowmobiles, skiing and sledding – or perhaps your little ones would like to build a snowman.  We have it all at The Island Pond Country Inn at Island Pond.  By the way – Burke Mountain Ski Area is just a 30 minute drive away.
